Technician – Senior Civil Plasterer / Tile Mason


Job Purpose

Responsible for executing high-quality plastering, masonry, and tiling work, covering both new installations and the repair of existing structures.

The role involves a wide range of civil works including blockwork, plastering, tiling, and general finishing, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism.

This position also requires direct interaction with clients and responding to service requests in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities

Masonry & Plastering

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for blockwork, plastering, and tiling layouts.
• Lay bricks, blocks, and stonework to construct or repair walls, partitions, and structures.
• Prepare surfaces and apply plaster, render, and finishing coats to walls and ceilings.

Tiling & Finishing

• Cut, lay, and finish ceramic, porcelain, and other tiles on floors and walls.
• Carry out finishing works such as sanding, skimming, and surface repairs.
• Apply paint and protective coatings as required.

Repair & Maintenance

• Diagnose and repair damage caused by water leaks, including re-plastering and re-tiling.
• Carry out general civil works including cement work and waterproofing.
• Fit, install, maintain, and repair fixtures and fittings.
• Cut, weld, and assemble fittings and fixtures as required.
• Inspect completed civil works for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to client queries, scheduled appointments, and emergency call-outs.
• Perform quality checks to ensure work meets safety and performance standards.
• Accurately document work completed, materials used, and observations.
• Assist in preparing job estimates and project budgets.
• Maintain a clean, respectful, and professional presence in clients’ homes.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of proven hands-on experience as a Plasterer / Tile Mason.
• Strong skills in plastering, rendering, blockwork, and tiling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using civil works tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional, friendly, and patient with clients.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined or awkward spaces.
• Trade certificate, diploma, or completed apprenticeship in a relevant field.
• Valid UAE professional license (if required).
• UAE driving license (preferred).
