A sag pipe, also known as a belly or dip in a sewer line, refers to a section of a pipe that has settled or been improperly installed, causing it to dip below the normal grade. This creates a low point in the line where water and debris can accumulate, potentially leading to clogs, slow drainage, or sewer backups. Identifying and correcting sag pipes is essential for maintaining proper flow in the drainage system. Solutions may involve pipe relining, trenchless repairs, or excavation to adjust the slope and eliminate the sag.
