A priming jet is an opening in a toilet bowl through which water is supplied from the tank during flushing. It helps create a strong, forceful flow that initiates the siphoning action necessary for effective waste removal. The priming jet is typically located at the bottom of the toilet bowl, directing water forward to push waste down the drain. Proper maintenance of the priming jet, including regular cleaning to prevent clogging from mineral buildup or debris, ensures efficient flushing and reduces the risk of blockages.
