A blowbag is a drain-cleaning device consisting of a rubber bladder that expands inside a pipe to apply pressure and clear blockages. It connects to a garden hose and is inserted into the drain. When the water is turned on, the blowbag inflates, sealing the pipe and directing a powerful stream of water toward the clog, effectively dislodging debris and restoring flow. Blowbags are commonly used for clearing blockages in kitchen sinks, bathtubs, and main drain lines. They are considered a safer alternative to chemical drain cleaners, as they use only water pressure to clear clogs without damaging pipes or releasing harmful chemicals into the environment. Proper use of a blowbag involves carefully positioning it in the drain and monitoring the water pressure to avoid pipe damage.
