A batch feed garbage disposer is a type of waste disposal unit that requires waste to be loaded into the chamber before operation can begin. Unlike continuous feed disposers, which allow for the addition of waste while the unit is running, batch feed models operate by loading waste into a sealed chamber and activating the disposal mechanism with a cover or plug. This design makes batch feed disposers safer, as the unit only runs when the cover is in place, reducing the risk of accidents. Batch feed disposers are ideal for homes with children, as they minimize the chances of unintended operation. They are also quieter and more efficient in grinding waste, though they may have a slightly slower disposal process compared to continuous feed models.
